learn spanish for nature lovers

Welcome to Spanish for Nature Lovers blog!

I can’t believe it’s been two years already since I started working on this project, one year since I landed my website (just one week before the pandemic) and I still had not found the right time to introduce myself properly.

So many things were going on during this last year, and sometimes I felt a little bit superficial talking about my project, when so many people were having a hard time.

Besides this is the first time I have a blog, and to be honest, I was a little scared thinking that maybe I have nothing interesting to tell you… but I guess we all have something to say, at least our own story.

So for now, let me tell you a bit more about who is behind Spanish for Nature Lovers, to get to know each other better.

My name is Cristina, but everybody calls me Cris or Crispins; I was born in Barcelona 47 years ago, but I still feel like I am 30! I’m the oldest of three siblings.

Nature brings me balance and peace. I love spending time walking through the forest, observing flowers or watching the sunset light through the treetops…

I’m a sagittarian with pisces ascendant, adventuress, optimistic and cheerful. I am also HSP, a highly sensitive person. Riding a bicycle puts me in a good mood.

When I was 19, I went to Switzerland to learn French, working as a fille-aupair, and it was one of the best experiences in my life (although at home it was a big drama)!

I love slow travelling, especially roadtrips, and usually I am happier sitting on a bench looking at the people going by than going to museums.

Two years ago I made a long trip to Asia that changed my life and helped me to see the kind of life I would like to have.

Well, today I just wanted to say hello, make a quick introduction, and thank you for being here. In the next few weeks I will tell you more about this project, as well as tips I would like to share with you to help you to learn Spanish, to get to know better our culture, or to organize a great trip to Spain. There are so many beautiful places to visit around here, like Costa Brava, which is very close to my house, and is known for its beautiful beaches, climate, gastronomy and endless experiences that, i’m sure, you’d love to discover.

Meanwhile, I invite you to follow Spanish for Nature Lovers on Instagram, and to know a little more about my day to day, the landscapes that surround me, the experiences that I share and, of course, I open the doors of my house for you!

So thank you very much, again, for being here.
